About the Author
Dr. Jean Kerney
is a knowledgeable, energetic thought-provoking and powerful speaker. She conducts professional seminars and
training for leading businesses, prison systems, schools, universities and
other community agencies. She has spoken
throughout the United States and South Africa.
Dr. Kerney
has written several curriculum guides: Implementing Authentic Assessment in
Daily Instruction; Navigating the Heart Through Character Education; Leadership
Education and Action Development (LEAD) and The Underground Railroad Adventure.
She has recently written a
children book entitles, Momer, Can you Buy a Dream?
The rich background that Dr. Kerney brings to her writings is derived from her life
experiences and experiences in a variety of positions, including that of
secondary teacher, school counselor, school psychologist, assistant
superintendent for personnel and curriculum, university professor and
entrepreneur.
She earned her Bachelor of Art
Degree in English from Lane College, Jackson, Tennessee, and Master of
Education and Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology and Educational Administration
from Ohio University.
