About the Book

My name is Hanna Rae O’Brien. I’m thirteen and almost in Junior High. I live with my Mom and two brothers in the small town of Hopeville. Well Mom and I don’t always get along, but we still try. My baby brother Samuel is a sweetheart and a mystery buff. Then there’s JC, my older brother, and the one I love to hate.

My friend, Enya, is a psychic. She’s a mystery all by herself but still helps me focus. Most of the time, I have the ability to tap into the feelings that charge the air. This doesn’t really mean I know how to fix things. I sort of muddle my way through. Somehow I push my way into things whether I should or not. This guy, Joel, from my history class, what a jerk! I didn’t even like him but somehow I still got drawn into this mystery.

I always like to be there for my friends or the underdog. Trouble seems to gravitate towards me. When anyone screams for help, I always step up to the plate. Life is full of mysteries and mine is no different. Well, maybe it is.

About the Author

Born and raised in Debert, Nova Scotia, she comes from a long line of storytellers. She will be the first of her ancestors to put her own twist of storytelling on paper. Growing up in a family of eight, her story is laced with the joys and sorrows of everyday life.

A graduate of the Institute of Children’s Literature in CT., she feels comfortable with the notion that reading and writing is good therapy. For maximum influence, she had developed rich characters that struggle in the life of a mystery series. Her passion for writing and life pours out through her characters and their circumstances.
