About the Author

Heidi J. Kramer is a consultant and expert in writing, administrating, and awarding grants.  Her career in the grant industry began two decades ago, where she began successfully working with government, public and private grants.

Her 20-year history includes working on several boards and grant funding committees, both public and private.  In her position as director with a private foundation she reviews grant requests, makes recommendations for funding, guides grant writers to additional funding sources, and collaborates with other grant funders.

One of Heidi’s driving forces is to help others. When asked why she wrote this workbook, Heidi stated that, “This workbook was developed through several years of research, training numerous individuals and teaching workshops on how to write, obtain and properly administer grants.  Successful grant writing involves more than putting words on paper.  There are ways to approach and develop relationships with funders that will insure success in obtaining grants.”

A native of southern California, she later moved to the Midwest where she focused her profession in the non-profit field.  She now lives in Pueblo, Colorado.
