Chapter one
“Joe, I uh, think you better come
here,” a bomb-shelled Fred Sanders said, motioning with his hand for him to
hurry. John, Nick and Joe all bound up off the hospital beds making a bee line
to see who Fred was gaping at, given that they hadn’t heard anyone else’s
voice. Reaching the doorway at the same time they were all brought to a halt
looking just like Fred, eyes startled, mouth open, frozen, thunderstruck.
After standing in the doorway
like idiots for a few, John slowly muttered, “Yeah...so ...Nick...you....want
to take me home?” He was unable to take his eyes off the unannounced visitor,
but before a speechless Nick could answer, John was already venturing down the
hall and right up to Jennifer.
Stopping next to the unpredicted
caller, he looked at her and softly said, “Jennifer, I’m glad you’re all
right.” She could only stand there and look surprised at him with dankness in
her eyes, knocked for six to see him alive. He patted her shoulder and
continued to the door, not really knowing what to do. Her gaze followed him.
Nick was on his heels. He didn’t
know what to say, so he just nodded at her and kept going. He had guessed at
who she must be.
Fred, feeling foolish for just
staring, turned to look at Joe and told him quickly, “I’ll be at your place,”
and skedaddled out himself, following the other two. He hadn’t expected her
return. None of them had.
“Jennifer?” Joe moved untailored
down the hall to where she was standing, absolutely astonished at seeing the
love of his life appear mysteriously in his sanatorium hallway. His heart
skipped a beat taking in her beauty, but he noticed how different she looked
with the darker and shorter hair.
She was attentive on him now but
hadn’t moved from the spot she was in upon first seeing Fred, feeling a bit
overwhelmed and unsure of herself. Jennifer instantly
and easily remembered she was attracted to his gorgeous looks and brazen strut.

About the Book
Mary was beginning to wonder
about John and Joe’s sixth sense and what it meant exactly. She had an eerie
feeling there was only going to be more trouble as she sat and watched him
recall the image of Joe’s daughter just now. And how he said he didn’t want to
go back into the experience but didn’t know why.
The question what else was he going to remember was not as important as the one
she was thinking–was this going to happen
again. This is what had Mary worried, the
unpredictability of the future.
Mary thought she had every reason
to be concerned about John and Joe’s powers. It had dawned on her if he didn’t
remember anything at all about the sporadic phase that it meant his clairvoyant
episodes could control him instead of the other way around. At any time, he
could be left unconscious again.

and John find out the true nature of their father Chief Young. The dirty rotten
scoundrel is worse than imaginable. The twins are unbelieving of the reason
they have the abnormal acuity, the bizarre powers. Another outrageous bombshell
