About the Book

Two lovers embrace, however the outward show of affection goes unnoticed to those around them. A small women of little means, sobs uncontrollably on the park bench; the sadness draws those near to take notice and question that which captured their attention. What power is this thing called sadness? The joy of viewing the embrace of love, should be that which captivates us; hold us to view that moment and reflect on the warmth and closeness. And yet the sadness on the park bench becomes the theater in which we take a seat and view the drama before us. Death which we fear and abhor, holds our attention. Loneliness takes our hand, sadness sits on our shoulder with its pail of painful memories, to sprinkle them into our eyes, for the tears to be released. I have attempted to capture the inner feeling of these emotions and relayed them in verse. Attempting to avoid the things that we may not understand, serves no purpose; to cope with them and still press forward is the key. If you wish laughter, look elsewhere; a reflection of life is what is found in the pages of this book.

About the Author

Eric g, born Eric Gustav Peters, 11/13/42

Writing from the age of seven, preparing for his bible lessons, gave him the experience of pen at an early age. His fuel was the bible, with stories of love, hate, anger, deception, human frailty, spirits, devils, demons and gods. His need to pen arrives in emotional outbursts, all held within the soul. At that special moment, the gate is opened, but only at that special moment. The quiet night with its smell of love or sadness; the eerie silence, the haze of clouded mists, the talking of the trees, sparks the outburst; allowing the pen and mind to meld as one. Sometime in the early morning , a tale is told.
