About the Book
Bereavement Outreach Program Core Curriculum for Leaders, Facilitators, and volunteers, grew out of one of the author’s “Grief Work” projects. She has experienced multiple loss in her lifetime; husband, mother, father, and entire generations’ of uncles and aunts. Her call to work with the “Grief” ministry at her church further inspired her to write this leadership educational tool.
There are many books and articles written on bereavement, however there are very few customized GLM Training Programs written on Bereavement.
The challenge is to make this training Christ centered and to example his focus of leadership among God’s people.
“It was he who gave some to be prophets, some to be apostles, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up” Eph. 4:11-12 Niv
Servant Leaders know how God has gifted them for service in the church. Servant Leaders serve out of their spiritual gifts from God.
Spiritual gifts are the key to understanding how God intends the Church to function. A spiritual gift is a manifestation of the spirit” (Cov. 12:7)
