About the Book

ASK HAROLD is a journey for mind, body, and spirit.  Peter Gilmore, a young American mining engineer employed in Chile, craves wealth and corporate success.  He embarks on a secret mission to Australia.  In mid-summer, the desert heat is lethal.  He triumphs over peril and fear, arrives in rural Tamundi, confronts hostile locals who complicate his quest for minerals.  An epiphany in the desert, Aboriginal magic, a strange talisman, new friendships, and love for a wondrous woman change his priorities.  Peter risks all to reshape and own his future.  His vision for a new Tamundi inspires cooperation and hope.  Through Peter, a region is reborn.
