About the Author
In the summer of 2001 Amanda Diva burst onto the poetry scene as a spoken word emcee whose style, an energetic blend of hiphop and Black history, humor and intensity, strength and intelligence, stood out from the now exploding poetry scene. "Diva Deev" has blessed mics from Russell Simmons'' Def Poetry Jam (2002), venues all over the tri-state area, and the stages of college campuses across the U.S. Continuing to spread the rhyme she has served as the face of hip-hop for Mtv2 and you can currently hear her rockin the airwaves every morning on Sirius Satellite Radio''s, "Hip-hop Nation". Her vocals can also be found on her own Spoken Word/ Soul cds, "It''s Bigger than Hip-hop, The Mixtape: Vol.1" and "Never a Dull Moment" (www.AmandaDiva.com). She is a recent graduate of
