Kidstone Cops

"Kidstone Cops-Learn To Be Safe!!" written and illustrated by Steve Martiens is a thoughtful, interactive book designed to help parents, guardians, or even grandparents teach important information that will help our children in case of an emergency or mishap. The author uses the Kidstone Cops to tell the story of a young boy who escapes a mishap because of the important information that was taught to him by his parents. The author then has the Kidstone Cops talk about what information our children should know in case of an emergency or mishap and has provided areas in the book for the children and parent or guardian to actually write down their own personal information. In addition, in using the Kidstone Cops as his main characters, the author is attempting to teach our children that police officers, while sometimes intimidating in statue, are really people who can be trusted and that they are ready to help and protect whenever needed. With this book and more soon to follow, the author has put the “Kidstone Cops” out on patrol to help parents or guardians help teach their children to "Learn To Be Safe!”

Steve Martiens is the author and illustrator of “Kidstone Cops-Learn To Be Safe!!” Steve is a husband and father of three young children. Brought up with Midwestern roots and values, Steve has used those values and the inspiration of being a father of three loving kids to create this book designed to help parents, guardians, or even grandparents teach important information that will help our children in case of an emergency or mishap.

Steve enjoyed creating this book and plans to write more children’s book related to being safety of our children. In the meantime, he has sent out the “Kidstone Cops” on patrol to help our children to “Learn To Be Safe!”
