The soul then appears first at conception and builds itself in a unique image in the course of the moral life.

It is an image, somewhat similar to a photograph, nothing more than an image. In fact it is a set of images, a film which has a tendency to live its own history, its own life, but nothing more.

It may have the tendency to continue its independent history, but it can’t as it is always brought back to match the physical you.

Despite its tendency to follow its own course, it is continuously called back to reality because and for all the time that the brain continues to support the ‘jœu’.

When the brain stops operating the mind stops existing and the influence of this matter on the life of the soul stops also.

That does make the soul vanish though! It keeps on existing, even living as we shall see later.[1]

At first she – let’s make it feminine even though at this point sexuality has no bearing any longer At first she doesn’t realize that she is cut off from her creator, the person’s brain.

She keeps on trying to feed on the interactions with the material world that were her lot, attempting to go on with her daily life, feeding on any and all sources of information that bear some similarity with her.

The endorphins released by food, by sex or by solving problems are worth the risk of fattening, the risks and sufferings from the human relationships or the torture of asking oneself yet another question.

This is the cause of ‘sin’.

We are looking for the ‘absolute’ pleasure, but we know only one way of getting near it, and it is by the suffering that precedes the satisfaction of a desire.

In reality nothing short of the mystical experience gives this total bliss, uninhibited. For the sensation to last all other desire must have been dissipated, in other words, the soul must be totally separated from what it has perceived as its terrestrial task, it must be totally mane.

As long as we are of this world we can only get appetizers.

There is an interesting line of thought that just comes to my mind.

If pleasure follows suffering, we could think that the reason for the ultimate pleasure of the mane comes from having suffered, i.e. lived. The tougher, the more intense the life, the greater the tensions in this world, the greater the ultimate bliss.

We could see that as a good motive for trying harder at improving the world.
