About the Book
This book is the first compilation of Mitchell’s poetry. It was written in a four-month period in 1997-98.
All the thoughts and emotions came at such a pace, sometimes waking him in the middle of the night, forcing him to complete three or four pieces before his mind would allow him to rest and return to sleep.
He has been accused by friends of being in love and love. After five years, the work is as emotionally relevant to him now as it was then, and this was the reason to publish it. He believes many people have these thoughts and emotions but lack the words to describe them. Sharing this work is his way to help others convey their fellings.
As people read his work, he would watch their expressions. He could see the smiles and looks, of knowing that these words were describing their feelings in their personal relationships. He hopes you will enjoy his words and be able to realize this also describes your life in love.
About the Author
Mitchell Gordon has been writing for over 30 years. He has written short plays, satire, philosophy, and of course poetry. As one can easily see, he is a hopeless romantic, as 95% of his writing is romantic poetry. He has had work published in separate volumes and a few anthologies. This is his first book consisting solely of his own work. His second volume of poetry and his first book of philosophy (written from 1970-1973) will follow in the next few months. His complete collection of poetry will soon be featured in a new line of greeting cards.
