About the Book
What’s a warrior legend to do with herself when she retires — and the bicycle won’t be invented for centuries yet? Not long ago the earth was created, the gods and humans are still slowly settling into their perspective roles. Humans are busy building their villages and domesticating animals. Shenah: Warrior Princess, demi-god and former martial arts extravaganza-queen, suddenly finds herself in her nineties and in retirement. Too late for love? To late to still kick a little butt? Mr. White’s Shenah: is a romping re-imagining of earth’s murky pre-history. Not that it will be any less murky after reading this book... anyway, our heroine, Shenah, now over ninety and barely able to still strap on her chakrum, cannot escape bold adventure’s call. Her arena now? The ultimate, of course: Shenah struggles to uncover the purpose of all human life on earth! The gods are determined to stop her! Can she do it? Read Mr. White’s engaging labor of love and remember never to underestimate a warrior princess! A work sure to challenge as well as entertain.
About the Author
David White, author of Shenah:, takes a cue from his study of ancient literature (in particular, the poets Ovid and Homer), along with his experience in martial arts and sword technique, to produce, in verse form, a heady mixture of zaniness and seriousness in this, his first published book.
Like many boys in
Such youthful nobility of purpose was, perhaps, bound to produce an adult with a slightly askew world view. No matter! Mr. White, surprisingly enough, writes with stunning audaciousness and clarity. If he has not yet quite ensured the cultural supremacy of the Western World, it is not for lack of trying.
