About the Book

Alyssa Manfull is the Captain of the Texas Rangers, and her life, as well as the lives of her partners, is about to take a drastic change one that no one would ever have expected. It starts off as what seems to be a lucky break when two of Alyssa’s best Rangers make one of the biggest busts in Dallas history. After the death of one of their own, Alyssa and her group of cops will band together to take down two big drug dealers trying to take over their city, but little do they know that in doing so they will seal the fate of the world and send it spiraling towards its doom. You’ve seen apocalyptic movies, T.V. shows, maybe even read a couple books, but in reading Partners, you will actually get a glimpse at the end. And be glad that it is only a glimpse. This is not going to read how you expect it to read. It’s not going to say what you think it’s going to say. The characters will not do what you imagine they’ll do. I cannot and will not take responsibility for your reaction of what comes next. The world began and the world will end. This is Partners: The Beginning Of The End.

About the Author

The very first version of Partners was written when I was in seventh grade. The story came from a friend of mine, Chanel Brossett, when she told me she might be a cop when she grew up. I got to thinking about Chanel as a cop, and the story took off. It was a completely different version from what you see today. There was magic, alternate dimensions, all types of ideas a seventh grade video game player would think of. It was originally going to be the first of seven books, and by the time I was a senior in high school I was well on the way. I had already written the first drafts of Partners one through three and a little over a hundred pages of Partners four. Unfortunately, the notebook where I had all my work was stolen, over one thousand, hand written, pages gone. It was, needless to say, very devastating, the lost, ultimately, was the decisive factor in my decision to only publish one book. Partners was originally published in May of Two Thousand and Six, but I wasn’t entirely happy with the result, so I did not publicize it at all. As time progressed I tried rewriting the sequels, but failed to recapture the story. Eventually I decided to do a rewrite of Partners and it inadvertently turned into something I had not intended, a form of Ministry. I believe I have given the world a book like no other, every end has a beginning and every beginning has an end. I give you Partners.

Partners was not written to offend, push beliefs or judge, only to show you the how it begins. If you do feel judged, ask questions.
