SOULFULL

The Circle of Life

Life is one big circle.
round and round it goes.
Where it stops you will like to control.
You have set goals
so you’re off to a great start.
You take off with a blast,
knowing your outcome will be everlasting.

Now you are in for a rude awakening,
for your journey
is not as easy as you expected.
You have begun to grow dreary and blue.
This journey is starting
 to take its’ toil on you.
The continuous spinning road
causes dizziness unlike before.
But you will not stop,
so you push on toward your mark.

Frustrated is what you have become,
as you find yourself
back where you started from.
Refusing to fail, you won’t bail,
so for effort you try again.
You feel that your journey has been in vain.
You appear to be falling further behind
than moving ahead.

Your perspective begins to change,
or does reality finally starts to sink in?
Maybe you took the wrong route,
or maybe all these things
were suppose to happen.
Maybe because you tried
to do it on your own
is the reason things begin to go wrong.
Maybe you should have exercised faith
in something greater than man.
Unfortunately, you can’t turn back
the hands of time.
You can’t change what has happened,
but with God’s help
your life’s cycle can change it’s direction.
The outcome will not only be promising,
but everlasting.
