How would you like to live in the light of His
glory? Have you ever seen Christians who just seem to have an aura around them
you can’t explain? Their faces shine
with the glory of God. Wouldn’t you
like to have that “Shekinah” glow about you?
When Moses had spent 30 days in the mount with the
Lord, the Bible says that his face shone so bright he covered it with a veil
because they were afraid to come near him.
He also had been fasting. Not
until he was finished speaking and left them did he take it off. The glory of the Lord was too much for them.1
Coming home from work one day I was stopped at a
light on the corner of University Drive and Opdyke near my church. I noticed a sister (my husband’s cousin),
was turning left in front of me, and her face shone like the sun. I knew where she had been. Shortly after that, her husband who had been
out of the church for twenty-some years had come back to God...to stay. I asked her about that day. She told me she had been fasting and praying
for her husband for days. She had just
come from the prayer room at church.
The face shines with a glow or glory when we
fast. The eyes light up, and the skin
is rejuvenated and cleansed from within.
That’s why your face looks so clear and smooth after fasting. It looks years younger.
Daniel told Melzar, “Prove thy servants, I beseech
thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink.
“Then let our countenances be looked upon before
thee, and the countenance of the children that eat the portion of the king’s
meat: and as thou seest, deal with thy
servants.
“So he consented to them in this matter, and proved
them ten days.
And at the end of ten days their countenances
appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which
did eat the portion of the king’s meat.
“Thus Melzar took away the portion of their meat,
and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.
“As for these four children, God gave them
knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.”2
Fairer, meaning, “beautiful, best, better”. Fatter, meaning, “firm” or “fed”.
Imagine that.
Your skin looking better, firmer, well nourished, beautiful and at it’s
best! All because of fasting. It’s a lot cheaper than fancy skin creams
boasting something they can’t deliver.
Not only did their skin look better, but ultimately
God blessed them with wisdom, knowledge and understanding!
There is no substitution for fasting.
I’ve heard it said, “Make sure when you’re fighting
the enemy you don’t turn your back on him because there is no armor for the
back, only the front.” I tell you,
there is armor for your hinder parts.

Just being born a female makes you influential!
In the Garden of Eden, when Eve ate the fruit, she put herself above man-AND above God. Though the Lord put woman in submission to her husband, he did not put her under his feet--a false balance is abomination to the Lord. If woman above man is a false balance, then woman below man is ALSO a false balance!
The marriage balance needed restoration, and, the only way to do that was to put the wife in submission to her husband. The only thing God did was put Eve right back at Adam’s side again-a just weight, God's delight!
You see, without submission, a wife has too much power in the marriage relationship! The Lord saw the incredible influence Eve had over Adam and had to put a leash on it!
This book will help you understand how important you are to your world, and give you the thrust you need to rise above feelings of insignificance, inadequacy and failure! Remember: you are not at the mercy of anyone except God.
It doesn't matter what your background is, what you've done, or haven't done. Forget about your past failures. You need to understand your power as a Christian woman. Get rid of frustration and gain the respect of men and women, alike, and be the incredible influence you were born to be!

Sherrie Jaynes has been teaching the Word of God with her husband and pastor, Russell, in the small town of Carsonville, Michigan since 1994.
Sherrie has had a burden for women just like her who have felt like a failure in business as well as personal life. She knows the heartaches and disappointments of failed marriages. She, along with her husband, now, have organized ministries they call: “The ARM of the Lord”, specifically targeted to help the backslider; “The Solitary”, a ministry to help build strong families; and “Minister’s Boot Camp”, an aggressive ministry to mold and shape men and women to be effective ministers of God.
Update: Since the printing of this book, Sherrie's husband gave up the church due to health reasons, then he passed away in 2005 of a heart attack. She is now living in Auburn Hills, Michigan where she attends The Apostolic Church under the leadership of Pastor Steve Warman, Bishop William Parent and Bishop Roland Baker.
