The World Isn’t In Love Anymore

Millions of children are growing up alone.
The father and mother are no longer at home.
Brothers, sisters, family and friends
are struggling and fighting.
Is there no end?

The world isn’t in love anymore.
The elderly sit in rocking chairs,
the young have lost respect, and they just don’t care.
The news is bad, everything’s gone awry.
People are angry and lost.
Their smiles fall down as death drives by.

The world isn’t in love anymore.
As I sit and turn my thoughts to the Most High.
I pray to God and He says, “The problem is not I.”
Jesus is the Light. He is the Way.
The love of Jesus keeps me going through the day.

So when we look at these perilous days
and someone cries out filled with pain to say
“the world isn’t in love anymore,”
God replies, “But I am…”

The Potter’s House

In the Potter’s house there is much warmth from the fire.
He keeps the flames burning, it never retires.

An undeveloped figure sits on the spinning wheel.
The potter knows its purpose
before it becomes real.

He turns the spinning wheel with no delay.
His hands are mastered to mold the hard clay.
He sprinkles with water for it to break.
The clay must set there and it must take.

His hands are mastered to build it up.
Yes, it is good, let me mold this cup.
The love in his eyes you can see
and the faith he understands, knows what it could be.
But in his heart before it is finished
it must be tried by fire without a blemish.

Seven times back to back
he wants to strengthen this precious cup,
so it will not break or crack.
As the Potter’s cup comes out
it has been tried by fire.
It has been perfected by the Potter’s desire.

He will use the cup and fill it with new wine.
The Potter is very proud and He says
“this cup is mine.”
