Prologue
From Dusk To Dawn
The presence of another was definitely there. I could feel him, but could not see him. Yes, it was a man. Then all of a sudden he appeared. He had a warm smile, and with a very gentle attitude, he approached. When he spoke all apprehension left me. In fact I had never felt so calm. In his presence I felt love and compassion. From him I could not hide, for he knew my every thought. My life was an open book. My soul opened unto him. No guarded thoughts, nothing to fear. His presence overwhelmed me.
He was clad in what looked like a robe of homespun cotton. It was white and interlaced with golden threads. There was a gold rope around his waist. The robe hung to the floor and on his feet he wore sandals. He stood tall and lean with an air of confidence. Through his eyes shone divine love and humbleness.
Although my body was trembling, my mind was clear. My heart was pumping so hard; I could hardly contain myself. I had actually broken through my hazy mind, to be able to see and hear from the other side. I had cut through the veil of my own existence and was experiencing the reality that I had sought for so many years. I hesitated, just for a moment. Was this an apparition or perhaps I was going out of my mind. The hesitation wasn’t long and before I could finish my thought he started to speak:
“Be not overwhelmed by my presence. I have been with thee throughout all thy lifetimes of existence. Although I remain nameless to many, Thou shalt call me Sire.”
He then leaned down and tapped me on my forehead, a very light gentle tap. Divine love poured into every cell of my body. I was instantly taken back to my first meeting with my Spirit. At that time I thought I had reached the pinnacle of my spiritual growth. I hadn’t realized how much more there was to learn.

About the Book
Words cannot describe the ecstasy and the immense feeling of joy I had experienced. I was drawn into another dimension I had never touched before, and yet was able to write as well--The gift was shown to me, yet I haven’t the words to express it fully. This knowledge is so very extensive, so grand and important; I regret I belittle it by mere words. I have such a fear of influencing others, yet a great enlightenment comes so rarely in ones life. I want it to be told in such a way that even the non-believers will believe. I want to crack through their shell and let them know just what is possible for them to experience, and to tell everyone that they too have this great quality, if only they would wake up to it.
Once the decision is made, and there’s the catch, it really is – Easy!
About the Author
This is Joyce DeYette’s first book, although her poem, Determination,
was first published in 1996 by The National Library of Poetry, The Rippling
Waters, and also selected to be part of their audiocassette of selected
works. Later, they published Golden Stature in their book Best Poems
of 1997.
Joy has found that writing allows her to look deep within to
see life in its true light and help open the mystery of life to others. Her
writings are about discovering that we are all more than we think we are, if we
just allow the power of our Spirit to come through. Joy says, “Writing is my
way of giving back the gifts and experiences that the world has given me”.
