How interesting can a book about engineering education really be?  What if I told you that applying the principles illustrated in this book can make your college journey easier; leaving you with more time for personal interests?  Now are you interested?  The secret is, I have just experienced some of the troubles and hardships that you are about to encounter.  Using common, direct tone and open discussion type writing, the message from this book is to be taken as if we were engaged in a face-to-face discussion.  No hidden objectives, just the honest truth and open opinions.  I present the facts focusing on both sides of the issue, the positive and the negative, letting the reader decide.  Rather than explaining technical concepts, the writing focuses on teaching you how to think effectively through the engineering education process.  So, let me come into your world for a short time and show you just what I mean. 

This writing project is an account of my personal experiences.  It was a major challenge in itself to write this book and go to school simultaneously.  The tips and tricks that you will read in this book come from a first hand source; being a new graduate from an engineering program, all my memories and suggestions are recent and applicable in today’s dynamic college atmosphere.  I take you on an adventure showing you how to avoid your major potential stumbles and how to enjoy all your triumphant accomplishments.  The future of the engineering profession lies in the hands of the younger generation.  Using a structured approach it is my vision that this book might have a small influence in the improved preparation of better past, present and future engineers for the good of the profession.  It is in this spirit that I undertook this writing project.     

The important thing is not to stop questioning.  Curiosity has its own reason for existing.  One cannot help but be in awe when he/she contemplates the mysteries of eternity, of life, of the marvelous structure of reality.  It is enough if one tries merely to comprehend a little of this mystery everyday
