About the Book

Unheralded Notions is a collection of poems that ring with lyrical clarity and written in a common vocabulary yet respectful of form.  The language is bold, lucid, and vocal.

These poems will tweak the social conscious by trumpeting the endurance and principles of common folk.  There are poems to make you laugh, cry, and think about things no longer talked about or long since forgotten.

To read Unheralded Notions is to embark on a journey presently, tomorrow, and yesterday.

About the Author

Born in rural southern Oklahoma Charles Norris King began writing at the age of fifteen.  Joining the U.S. Navy, he spent twenty-three years traveling the world.  Inspiration for his poems is taken from experiences and observations. Writing in a self-designed homespun, humorous style, without complete disregard for form and a nostalgic fondness for rhyme, he depicts common people, places, and things encountered in his extensive travels.

Charles received his formal education from the University of Guam, Olympic College, and Southern Illinois University and is the author of two books, A View From Under The Tree and A Walk In The Light.
