About the Book
The inspiration for this book came from previous students
who traveled to Italy and wanted to improve their abilities and understanding
in reading, writing and speaking the Italian language. The book includes
grammar, text written in Italian and English for practical purposes and
cultural notes of general interest. It includes a few notes on traditions,
idioms and gives examples of conversations of how to communicate while buying a
train ticket, ordering a dinner, etc.
The objective of the book is to teach a student basic grammar of the Italian
language showing sentence structure and the formation of the various tenses of
conjugation of verbs. Once the student acquires the knowledge to form a
sentence and some basic verb conjugation, he or she can expand his or her
abilities to read, write and speak the language with confidence.
