About the Book

It is said that angels walk amongst us, and we may not recognize their presence.  I have known such an angel, "Jeremy Miller."  He teaches us in Dance With An Angel that having the courage to give love freely has the power to heal and transform the world, one person at a time.  Jeremy's love penetrated even the darkest of times as his mother physically abused him while he was living with, and dying from, AIDS.

Jeremy came into our life when he was six years old, and I was his family's social worker.  When every cell of our being may react to Jeremy's plight with bitterness, resentment, and even hatred, we're awestruck as this wise old soul chooses love.

Early on I promised Jeremy that I would keep him safe.  It is this promise that challenged me in ways I did not think possible. Not only was time against us because of the severity of his illness, we were also dealing with his mother's explosiveness and a child welfare system that made a conscious choice to keep them together.

As Jeremy's situation became more and more desperate, and I exhausted every avenue to protect him, I took a giant leap of faith, let go of my control, and surrendered Jeremy to God and the Universe.  And once I did, Divine Intervention occurred again and again.

Our twenty-two month journey changed my life forever.  My hope is that our story will inspire you, and that your life, too, will forever be changed.
