In the Lord, there is comfort for my soul.
I can pray and all things he knows.
He hears my prayers and understands my sorrow.
He heals my pain and gives me hope on tomorrow.
In the Lord, there is comfort for my mind.
He is there for me when no one else is.
I can hear his voice saying peace be still.
Comfort for my soul.
I can feel his presence.
Comfort for my soul.
His love is filled with essence.
In the Lord, there is comfort for my soul.
I can pray and all things he knows.

About the Book
This book is a collection of eight miniature books. Each book contains fourteen to seventeen poems. The poems express spiritual, physical and mental matters of everyday life. They are written to offer direction, instruction, increased faith and moments of mediation as well as motivational encouragement. About the Author
Ms. Winnie Shields is a poetess/writer. She has been writing for over 28 years. She shows the love of expression through her writings. Her unique poetry is meant to encourage and inspire the inner spirit of others.
She writes and has self-published over 10 publications of her own line of poetry books called "Winniespoetry."
She is a lecturer, playwright and speaker at civic groups. Ms. Shields has won awards in poetry contests, school participation and other organizations. An advocate writer, her continued goal is to reach and comfort poetry readers with her inspired writings. In August 2002, she was the recipient of the 2002 Poet of the Year Medallion and Shakespearean Trophy of Excellence given by the Famous Poets Society.
Ms. Shields resides in Memphis, Tennessee with her son, Daniel. She is a collector of miniature dolls and dishes.
