If just for the sake of demonstration and analogy, we could say that the purpose of life was Surfing.
If that where the case then, one should be ether riding a wave or looking for a wave to ride.
Or would there be other choices? For instance would you be sitting on the beach?
To take this line of thinking to the next logical conclusion, there would be those who would not even come to the beach. Perhaps the temperature of the water, the currents and undertows or a hundred other excuses would keep them away. Accomplishing the purpose of life means face the adversity of life.
We all know that the purpose of life is not surfing.
So what is it? !!!
What is the purpose?
If you cannot answer that question then try this one. What is the purpose of "your" life? Or! How about this question. What is the purpose "in your" life? Those who have not answered these questions have not even come to the beach yet. Those who have answered one of these questions are miles ahead of those who have not. At very least they are miles down the road that lead in the direction they have chosen to go.
Now what if they have chosen the wrong direction? Well they can be back at the starting point in an instant, wiser than they where before.
Now ask yourself how old do you have to be to find it? Can you find it at a very young age and spend your life riding the waves?
Though John was now old he had spent his youth looking for and riding the waves of his purpose.
But he now felt more like he was just sitting on the beach.
Oh it had been a long night. Longer than usual! He must have had ten cups of coffee since five o’clock that evening. Now at last his shift was over.
In the early days this work had been easy and even fun. After all the years it was now nothing more than just a good job. It was however a job that suited the purpose of his life. It was indeed a job that he felt he had been preparing for, ever since he was nine years old. He had no doubt in his mind that God had prepared him to do this job. Why then would God not let him take more joy in the doing of this job?
To understand how well suited he was for his job you must first know more about his preparation for it.
John Calhoun Chamberlain was destined to share the dreams of many other people from a young age. He would be perhaps the only one who could fully know and articulate that dream. This dream would eventually bring him to a point of accountability in this job that he had clung to for so long. Perhaps a dream that came and then disappeared like the whore-frost was destined to be his challenge in life. Did he have the dream or was it déjà vu?
Have you ever had a recurring dream that was impossible to describe? Did he really have a recurring dream? He could never remember if he had had the dream before or not because he could never remember the dream. For a brief moment he would wake with the dream consuming and inspiring his thoughts but before he could fully embrace those thoughts they would vanish. And when he had forgotten the dream the feeling of inspiration would melt from his soul. The French called it déjà vu, he called it his recurring mystery dream
John was a very gifted individual he had an I.Q. over one hundred and thirty. It was difficult to test him at the young age that they recognized this. More to the point he was blessed with a photographic memory, his gifts from God were many. He came from a strong family. This was a surprise, for a military family. John's father was an Air force captain and so they moved around a lot. As a young child he had been blessed to see most of the nation. He counted it a blessing that his mother, father and sister had attended almost every denomination of church that you can imagine.

This book will testify to the fact that when temptations are not resisted their strengths and power are never known, that all temptations are weaker than they appear. And those who thought they where weak can be made strong.
John and Grace and their companions take a journey into a place of similitude through a dream. They stand to lose their life for the sake of one lost and addicted son that has gone astray. A mother’s love will be tested to the fullest extent that it can be tested.
They will find that " For the soul of one black sheep all heaven will fight."
These three pilgrims will learn that it is no greater miracle that we should die and live forever with our savior, than it is a great miracle that we should live at all. Anyone that cannot see this will not see any miracles. No matter how miraculous they are.
If an omnipotent God can do any miracle that he wants! If he can do anything in anyway that he wants! Then God must want it done this way.
What way you would ask? One heart and one soul at a time. One black sheep made whole to share with another. First your heart, then the heart and soul of someone you love.
The fact that we should exist at all is a simple miracle of reality. The fact that an omnipotent God can make our weakness become strong and can redeem our very souls is a simple miracle of reality as well.
This book will help all who read it know that they are loved in a way that they may not understand but in a way that will touch their hearts.
A testament to the love of a mother, even more a testament to the love and power of an omnipotent God to help if we will only let him.
So come travel with us through this world of dreams to seek the salvation of a black sheep.

About the Author
This book is written by the black sheep made white, with great empathy and understanding to that point of view.
Like Mosses John C Furniss spent forty years in the proverbial desert of living life by the way of the world and his own will. When he was forty he had a life changing experience. He became born again by the power and grace of the Lord and savior.
It was at that time that he discovered the inspiration and desire to write. The joy and glow of love it seems, / the Lord provides when He redeems
Chriss, as he is know by his friend in the paint industry also became richly blessed in his career. Through a series of acquisition and mergers as an employee and general manager he gained some great contact and friends in the paint business. In December of 1998 he began to work on the idea of gathering together the best of the best in the paint industry to start a new company. The vision was that this company would be dedicated to the professional who had supported and provided for the success of this great industry. The vision was also that this company might be employee owned. Jerry Howells senior and junior, who have a great love for this industry joined Chriss in May of 1999. Through the financial investment and support of Jerry Howells, Dan Howell, and Dick Hinckley as well as many other employees and partners this dream became a reality. Horizon Paint was the fourth factory that Kent Mansell and Chriss had been involved with. This state of the art factory incorporated many total unique innovations. The author functioned as the chief operating officer of this company and developed the product line and expansion to four stores and a dealer network.
In may of 2002 Chriss steeped aside from this company that he so loved. He had promised the Lord that He would finish writing the book that you are about to read.
Using his full name "John C Furniss" as his pen name he has committed to write five books. He dedicates this effort to the Lord and gives credit to him for the marvelous inspirations he has found in his heart.
It is felt by all who have shared this inspiration, that this series of books is destined to become a set of "Christian Classics."
The author may be referred to as Utah’s almost famous poet.
