About the Book

On a fall day in September 1978, while attending the funeral service of someone dear to her, Annie Mae Williams is forced to recall the painful memories that haunted her over the years.

Annie Mae Williams dreaded the day that she would have to confront her past. A past filled with abandonment, neglect, physical abuse, and so on. The intriguing part was the source of Annie Mae’s traumatic past. It was not a stranger that happened to walk into town one day. Nor, was it a relative or a friend of the family that was disguised in sheep’s clothing. The source was her parents. Annie Mae knew that her father was responsible for most of the turmoil in her life at that time. However, her mother shared majority of the responsibility as well. Moreover, she impacted Annie Mae the most. In fact, they had a mother and daughter bond that was stronger than anything on the earth. Unfortunately, their bond was severed due to circumstances beyond their control.

Although Annie Mae managed to bury her mother’s memories, there was always one question that haunted her. As fate would have it, a stranger enters her life. Thus, this question is ultimately answered.
