About the Author
Rosita McBean, the daughter of Rev. Clifford and Charlene Cannedy is an associate minister at New First Union M.B. Church in Tampa, Florida under the leadership of Rev. Danny Osborne. Rosita believes the call on her life is to establish believers in God’s word. God has gifted her with an ability to preach the gospel with an emphasis on the prophetic. An accompanying talent, that God has given her to achieve this call, is an ability to take the situations and circumstances of this life and put them into poems and essays.
Rosita leads a very active life as a full-time wife to a loving, supportive husband, Kevin McBean, the mother of five, a working professional (LPN), foster parent, actress and soloist.
Ms. McBean’s creative writing draws upon a wealth of experience garnered from a long history of service to hurting people. Her walk with God began when she gave her life to God as a teenager of thirteen under the leadership of Elder Clarence Welch, of Prayer Tower Church of God In Christ. Her grandparents Elder Charles and Louvenia Jackson led her to salvation while living with them. Ruthamae Manuel, her spiritual mother, took her under her wings as she worked with Prayer Tower Evangelistic Ministry. Rosita traveled with this prison crusade ministry out of Tampa, Florida for two years, ministering in dance, song and praise worship, gospel plays and musicals throughout the United States.
Full time ministry began in 1994 under the leadership of Elder E. Newkirk, of St. John Cathedral in Tampa, Florida. Rosita worked in a variety of ministries including evangelistic outreach, feeding and sheltering the homeless and hungry, along with the Guinyard and Young families. She also headed a youth drill team, home Bible study and prayer warrior ministry that visited the sick throughout the states.
In pursuing excellence in her ministry, Rosita has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Theology from Blessed Hope Bible College and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree.
As a born again believer and anointed woman of God, Rosita McBean is committed to encouraging and enabling the success, happiness, inner peace and joy of each reader.
