Farm Top is no longer an institution recognizable in our present Euclidean society of Platonic order. However, in this the 30th century, The Top existed in regal isolation as an innovative source for the utilization of Mother Nature in her menopause. Her many inventions born of necessity were pressured to intensity beyond endurance to sustain and provide from her withering cornucopia an ancient Garden of Eden for the survivors of the holocaust. Bounteous inspirations were born of dire necessity when social life was traumatically revolving to catch up with the effects of a near total annihilation of mankind. The cream of the crop of survivors, the Apple-Eaters, as they were known, in raw efforts of techniques in survival, had successfully experimented in genetic science, combining the discovery of a new chromosome with chemical advances, computer technology, and the surgical techniques of organ transplant and brain surgery. Stem cell research and cloning had also served to advance mankind in the race to a new frontier. The migration from across continents had as its destination, this area in the Everglades of Florida. The region ironically became overpopulated in view of their relative scarcity. The migration to Farm Top had come as a complete transition. This solemn, august congregate arena in the Everglades had been transformed to a home where the simple Seminole customs, aspiring to wed necessity with nature, had conceived a pact of unity through e pluribus unum. The Top was like a reservation, which had truly survived for the crème de la crème. After all the curling, churning processes of torment, anguish, pain, suffering, and degradation of spirit, the crème de la crème had risen to The Top. With the predetermined surety of light undulating past Pluto, you encounter a tigress on a bed of pine needles on the forest floor sleeping beside a reprieved soft-eyed doe. It never once connects in the synapses of your brain that the scene was created to impress upon you like a gentle rain the grace and peace granted to us upon this planet ipso facto by a benevolent Father who bestows love and joy to His spoiled children who so easily ignore the hunter-green of the swaying cypress and shun the shadier paths while leisurely inhaling the essences of dewdrops upon daffodils at dawn without a thought for infinity. With the delicacy of wings on air, open your Christmas gifts with their ruby red ribbons tied with the care of a breast-feeding mother and placed so gently under the tree of life. Acknowledge both gift and giver on the eve of eternal spiritual continuance that siphons off the need of dying evermore, and beckons at birth promising true freedom from strife. Acknowledge the knock on your front door and open up with innocence, with the heart of a child anticipating the arrival of a guest who, once welcomed to enter, will not depart. For these are the days of ecstasy in sweet righteous rapture and all of living is now an art.

What is the potential for thought in the probability of biblical prophecy existing in a dynamic and parallel dimension of man’s relationship to divinity, where these prophetic teachings become a dominant and definitive factor intricately involved in the realms of human experience? The bible is a finished work, the inspired word of God, yet at what point does its continuance leap from the pages. At what historical interlude does it enter the stages of human life in dramatic and poignant scenarios that dispel the mundane rituals of individual existence with penetrating perspectives of its purpose in teaching man the will of divinity? Anno Domini Cherokee invites the reader to accept the challenge of placing Holy Scripture at the forefront in evoking imaginative responses to our deity and His purpose for our existence. Even the constricted and dormant mentality of the atheist must confront the fact of mortality, and reason about the imminent approach of death. In the faery tale, "Playing The Baby Grand," (the loom upon which the entire fabric of the book is woven) the demon-possessed antagonist, Mirabeau Honeywell, attempts to find entrance into heaven’s gates by means other than the one freely given through Christ’s death on Calvary. The reader is launched into a dilemma of apocalyptic proportions. As we face the ominous cloud of nuclear holocaust, the depravity of terrorism, and envision our world after Armaggedon the vision of the author further enhances the futility of any struggle where divinity is denied control. In dulcet undertones, the poet then indulges those concepts gleaned from illuminated personal existence, and perceived clearly by a mentality and spirituality in fervent "pursuit of happiness," yet confronted by a defeated adversary whose smoke and mirrors distort the evidences of love, compassion, and nobility inherent in the human heart. She gently instructs us of our intimacy with divinity. Her invitation is vibrantly engraved with the unifying reminder that we are heirs with Christ. RSVP.

Born in the year of our Lord 1947, native to Miami, Florida, daughter of pioneering Christians who labored at Southern Bell and in the jelly kitchens while endearing the substance of greatness in achievement upon seven children tenderly springing forth from a Cherokee Indian heritage mated with African slaves, spirits speaking. Placing no emphasis either in pride or humility upon race, creed, origin, or color this flower child ever humbly appreciative of diversity interwoven through creation, while seeking the illusive qualities of relentless time captured by men of valor gently, intently placing resonant value upon the silence of rewarded meditation. Double promotion from kindergarten to grade two during the Eisenhower administration, entranced with literary encapsulated thought vibrantly rendered in concentration of ideas captured by words, shy as birds of humanity yet contributing beauty from a sense of maternal duty, natural to the child of insight into universal continuity. Intimately involved in an interracial romantic interlude of twenty-nine years endurance, She remains finely attuned to the telepathic Zeitgeist; the interwoven, crazy inter-spatial Gestalt of intriguing and provoking yo-yo impetus resistant to intellectual influence that she valiantly chases in innocence and abeyance to the new moon’s profile as facial.
