About the Author

Pat Shearer is a husband, father and business professional. While clearing out some drawers at home he noticed that he and his wife had inadvertently pieced together a collection of lists that they had been using to handle things like picking baby names, packing for vacation, and buying a house. By coupling this real life experience with eight years in the Navy using checklists to handle every situation from cooking dinner to firing torpedoes, the author created The Book of Checklists and Choices. The book was expanded to include other checklists that would’ve come in handy as the author made his way through life. Although his two master’s degrees look good on the wall it was the daily battles with gift decisions and party planning that provided the motivation for this book.
