About the Author
DIANA (1981-1998) was a wise, beautiful, and stubborn calico cat. Orphaned at a very young age, she was taken to Friends of Cats, where Miri met and adopted her. An excellent huntress and devoted friend to her beloved cat companion, Jason, and to her humans, Miri and Wayne, Diana came to pretty much take the goodness of her life for granted until her friend Jason died. After losing Jason, Diana became deeply depressed and nearly died herself from a health crisis the following year. With much time on her paws as she was recovering, Diana grappled deeply with issues of meaning and purpose in living. Diana helped teach Miri to hear her telepathically as she shared her story for this book. Most of the content of Diana’s story was communicated when she was fifteen and sixteen years of age. MIRI is Diana’s human companion. She initially learned about telepathic communication with animals through seeing Samantha Khury, a professional interspecies communicator, work with Diana and Jason. Miri’s fledgeling ability to telepathically communicate with and listen to an animal developed during her work with Diana on this book. Although Miri also learned from a number of other inter- species communicators including Penelope Smith, Sue Goodrich, and Brigitte Noel, Diana was her primary teacher. Miri feels her work with Diana was an expansion and deepening of listening skills she had already developed and used as a psychologist. Miri can be reached at:
