About the Author

David Emm grew up on an Indian reservation in Oregon, where he learned firsthand about cultural diversity at the same time that he was developing a love for writing. While in school, he authored many short stories and became an editor of his high school newspaper. As an adult, much of his time was spent in the great American Southwest as a businessman, and traveling extensively as a performing musician. While working with the police in an undercover operation in Texas, he became aware of his own addiction to alcohol. Soon afterwards, he enrolled in an alcohol recovery program and has now been sober for many years. Today he operates a business in a suburb of Portland, Oregon. This is his first novel, he hopes to combine the excitement of undercover work with the issues surrounding those who wish to stay clean and sober.
