On January 21,1999,I wrote another letter to The Attorney General of the United States that went like this:
Dear Attorney General:
My case (#98-6124), need to be reopened for the reason of deter mining what's in my son's best interest, by law the book and with the facts, proof, evidence and pertinent information. It was a lot of allegations, and perjury against me that couldn't be proven.
If a judge can send someone to the death penalty and a Governor can pardon that person. The court should be able to give me a reason why my petition was denied at The Court of Appeals of Maryland and at The Supreme Court of the United States and not some standard letter.
If the Attorney General can open up a civil right's case and other's,mine should be reopened also. It's then you can and will see why I went this far, and to show the laws that were broken, perjury in the testimonies, and Supreme Court rules violated by the opposing side.
It tears me up on the inside when I hear or see my elected officials talk about children when it comes down to protecting them, doing what's best for them, and talk too much negative things (advertisements on buses, TV and billboard signs) about fathers. The many good things that father (single) do are never advertised like that.
I will continue to tell my story of how I was treated in the court system until I get to the media. And the fact that no one took the time to investigate my case, nor was it judged by law, by the book to determine what's in my son's best interest. The police department was the only agency in my case to do their job, which was write the report my son's mother
Made when her husband (boyfriend at that time) assaulted my son and the only thing that happened was the State's Attorney nolle prosequi the case. IF I DIDN'T THINK NOTHING WAS DONE WRONG IN MY CASE I WOULD NOT HAVE CAME THIS FAR.
Sincerely, Nelson L.Moody, Sr.

A SUCCESSFUL FAMILY MEMBER
What is success? Success is the result of something that is hoped for. It is the root word for successful. Successful is something that you become. To be successful means to have success. It is something that you make happen. It is an outgrowth of a desire to achieve that is hoped for to be successful in anything, requires hard work.
Tonight would like to speak to you about someone that I know, a family member, whom I consider as being successful. He succeeds in something each and every day. Is he successful because he has won a gold medal for some heroic act or because he has gained fame or fortune? No! He is successful because of what he does for others, and what he stands for. There is no other person like him. I look up to him. He helps me to believe in myself. Whenever I am hurting, he helps to heal my wounds with kind words. He listens to me when I am troubled. He is a person who reaches out to help someone each and every day. He always looks for ways in which he can serve others.
He is not aggressive, but full of courage, love, and justice. He is honest when dealing with others? He is kind and thoughtful. He is made of the best stuff in the world. He respects others and in return, he receives respect. His standards of living are high. He guides his family with love. He is my role model. When I grow up, I want to be just like him. He is someone that you can trust. He is a great man. He establishes rules and regulations about right and wrong for family members to follow. He encourages others to follow after right also. Whenever I feel like crying about something, he dries my tears with encouragement. He is loyal and works hard to save others from harm.
He is an admired and looked up to by many others and also family member, not because of what he owns, but for what he is and what he stands for. He is always around when family members need him. You can count on him. He is nice, generous, thoughtful, and wise. He leads and guides other family members with love and devotion. Ladies and gentlemen, tonight I salute MY FATHER as my successful family member. He is great and I love him.
Thank you!
