The Flaming Spirit and the Incredible Time Train

FIFTH CHRONICLE

The First Thought

The conductor spoke softly as he explained the First Thought:

'This train will continue its journey until all the inhabitants of the earth have made the trip and progressed to the front of the train. You will not grow old on the Time Train, so take the time to learn your lessons well. As you progress from car to car, you will be given special instructions. Make sure you understand them. No one will tell you when to move forward or where to sit. You will do this yourself because only you know where you belong on the Time Train.

'At all times you will be under the complete protection and guidance of the engineers. As you will recall, they helped you to accelerate and board this train. It is their responsibility to watch over you and help you with things you cannot handle by yourself.

'Your first assignment is to review where you have been and what you have done to bring yourself up to the present moment. Remember that good and bad karma are just payments due and received on past lives and this present life. Everything must be paid for when viewed from here. You will no longer incarnate when you have no debts to pay or be paid to you. This is karma, the infinite law of retribution. You must rise above karma and do everything in the name of GOD. You have a mission to fulfill in this life. Your presence on the Time Train will greatly enhance your awareness of it.

'The world is ready for First Thought and you will introduce it through your work, your actions, your words, and even your thoughts. If you choose to incarnate again, it will not be to pay back or collect from past lives. It will be to do things that will benefit humanity and will help the spiritual travelers operate the Time Train.

'We each have our own first thought that we carry from our first incarnation. We carry this through our entire sojourn, even though we lack awareness of it.

'Now, if you put your attention on the window to your right, you will see yourself unfold through the thousands and thousands of incarnations you have had since the beginning of your time on earth right up to the present moment. You will see how your good deeds earned you the right to be here.'

Then he bade me farewell, and I turned my head to look out the window.

My thoughts traveled backward at an incredible speed, but my body, with arms and legs outstretched, began to revolve slowly as I sank into a black hole. Gradually shapes started to appear; they were black or gray at first and then turned into a brilliant array of colors. The size of the hole got smaller and I could see the shapes more distinctly--geometric designs in different sizes and colors. Now the black hole took on the form of a tapered tunnel. The colors of the geometric shapes softened and turned into pastels of every hue. I fell for what seemed to be an eternity.

At first I felt a bit apprehensive because my situation appeared to be beyond my control, but then I 'knew' that someone was looking after me. This thought brought with it instant relaxation. Everything slowed down and soon the motion ended.

I was standing alone in space, but a tiny spot of light far ahead beckoned me. We began to move toward each other, slowly at first, and then at a faster pace. The dot of light grew larger and larger until it engulfed me. I was now a part of this light and watching the first creation of my soul, a spark of God's light breaking away on its own. God gave me, as He gives to all His human creations, one of his sacred faculties--imagination. Only with this can man find his way back to his point of origin.

My soul appeared to be a speck of light, which had broken away from a large sun at the center of the universe, and headed toward the planet earth for my first incarnation. My parents greeted my arrival with joy and I was happy to be a part of them - a product of their love. The soul heading for earth has only to wait for its birth. The new experience of life is about to begin. I could now see my first life from beginning to end This included mistakes made and lessons that needed to be learned.

Subsequent incarnations flashed by rapidly, like three-dimensional pictures on a gigantic screen. I could see myself pass from male to female and back again and occasionally I would incarnate somewhere in between. That, too, had its place in my development. It taught me to adjust to situations over which I had no control. I was born under every sign of the Zodiac, not just once, but many times over. Every nationality, race, geographic location, and culture were represented, and they provided a constant flow of lessons that needed to be learned. Life on earth was often very complicated, but from here it seemed simpler. Yet, my mind had difficulty grasping the fact that it frequently took several lifetimes to learn some of my most basic lessons. Sometimes I went backwards in my development; at other times forward. It was like a pendulum swinging back and forth. Occasionally I would meet a master and move forward at a faster pace, and then the pendulum would swing the other way again. There were always lessons to learn. Many of these lessons were so basic and simple. Why then did I repeat and repeat? As this question ran through my mind, I heard a voice saying:

'To run the universe is no simple task. We seek perfection. Only the souls who reach perfection can run my universe. And this can be achieved solely through First Thought - the creative spirit of God. It was God's first message to you and your first message to God. The way it left is the way it must return - pure and unchanged.

You must learn to travel the inner spiritual worlds and find your way to the place you left. You must become a spiritual traveler with one thought - God'
