About the Book

The Perils of Empowerment is a book for leaders and professionals interested in improving the ways we approach our career missions. The book is readable and concise while realistically and honestly exploring the potential or truly empowering self and others. It addresses the need organizations have in the new millenium culture of lean staffing, multiple priorities, and challenging demands. Tapping the personal power and commitment of human factors is challenging but results in improved performance, enhanced motivation, heightened success and personal satisfaction. The book is developed in three sections. First the book addresses the challenges we face in engaging human potential. Second, the book explores management, communications, training, and systems approaches to developing an empowered culture. Finally, the book explores the net results of managing with civility and integrity. The personal and organizational outcomes include wellness and success.
