About the Book

These three volumes were begun by Enzo at the age of 18, and he continued writing as he pursued different occupations and careers.  The poems are largely drawn from his own experiences and or observations.  Enzo rejects the notion of many modern poets who say that ‘good’ poetry shouldn’t rhyme, and although some of his don’t rhyme, he insists that a rhyming poem shows that the words are put together in a much more painstaking way.

At the age of 21 after he’d written the first two volumes, Enzo met his Lord and Savior and his poetry changed as well.  The style of writing did not change however and this can be seen throughout the many forms his writing takes.  The poetry in this third volume can be said to be Psalmic in a way.  Enzo drew much of his inspiration from the Holy Scriptures as well as his own walk in Christ.

In the long poem titled simply "Nomad", he outlines the toil and struggle one goes through in one's life.  Many of the Parables of Jesus have been topics which can be seen throughout his writings.  All three volumes have been arranged chronologically, as this shows the ongoing learning that we all experience.  Each of these poems has a Scripture attached to it, which speaks of the essence of the meaning of the poem.  His prayer is that you can draw inspiration from reading them as he has from writing them.

About the Author

Born in the rural village of Torrrice, Italy, Enzo’s parents emigrated to Australia, where he grew up in the Sugar Cane town of Childers, Queensland.  He enlisted in the RAAF from school and then as a civilian again worked at several occupations from Advertising to Cab Driving.  He wrote poetry from the age of 18, not for any purpose of publishing them but as a means of expression.  He helped teach a Children’s Ministry class each Sunday with his Church, and developed many characters while teaching.  At the Age of 26 he traveled to Italy to visit his birth place, and many relatives he’d never known.  The travel-bug had now bitten him however, and once back in Australia, he used the freedom of Cab Driving, to travel again, this time, the world over, and he lived out one of his fantasies, which was living in Israel, where he worked for two years.  He attended Christian Heritage College in Brisbane, Australia, where he completed a BA in (English Literature and History), and began teaching.  After studying Children’s Literature he turned his hand to writing and wrote the Tsami & Tsado trilogy.  He then completed a BEd Italian & English) and MA (Applied Linguistics) at the University of Queensland.    In 2004 he began teaching high school English in North Carolina, USA where he has found a wealth of inspiration.  He lives in rural St Pauls with his dog, an Australian Shepherd of course, and his Chooks (chickens in America). Enzo attends the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, and approaches his writing with a philosophy which says, ‘if the story is not going to up-build and teach something lasting, why bother writing it?
