About the Author
Leaving school at 15 years of age with no qualifications. I soon realized life was going to be very difficult for someone who could not read or write. I decided to teach myself to read. By studing the dictionary I was able to write poems. I focused on my childrens education and would come up with ways to help them read and write, by writting story's about incidents that happend each day. We would read the story and discuss it. This was a great way to communicate my childrens feelings and needs. Encouraging my children to write as a way to express themselves, led my children to be academically gifted. After having my third child diagnosed with autism, I would use my hands as pupets for a visual aid to distract my child. Focusing on my hand movements and hearing the different voices I would use to vocally commuicate, My child would respond in a delightful way, as my child grew the story's of my hand pupets " Snake and Mouse " also grew. My child loved the story's of Snake and Mouse so much that he asked me to make him a story book, which has led me to Author House. In the hope that they can be like the Wizard in that all time classic " The wizard of Oz" and make my little boys wish come true by having His Snake and Mouse book published. I was born on a council estate in Liverpool, known as the "pool of life" but to me it's the " pool of love". I live here because I love being close to my family and friends. I love my neighbours, I love my child's local school. I love the friendliness of the Liverpool people. I love the architecture of the buildings. I love feeling safe and happy. I didn't realize how much I loved Liverpool until I met and married an American, who I have two children with. We travelled and lived in a lot of places but my heart ached to be in Liverpool. After our marriaged ended, I ended up back were my life began, in Liverpool.
