About the Book

Death to freedomis a short story that starts in the future and ends in the past. This is the first of two novels. This first novel is about the near future, where society has been transformed. A common man writes a compelling article about how to fix society. This article takes notice and a movement that radically takes over all the world's goverments and abolishes religion. The New World Social Society (N.W.S.S.) is a Social/Fasist Regen that takes over the whole world. A persons ability to master skill levels in the educational system determines a persons placement in society.

The story revolves around a group of teenagers and their grandparents. The teens are all in different parts of the educational system; while their grandparents live in a commune outside of the city. The grandparents commune is comprised of retired military and scientist. They are working in a secret underground complex trying to produce a black-hole in order to find another planet to live on. All the while the N.W.S.S. is getting closer to finding them out.

The next novel is about them going back in time to ancient Greece in search of Alantis. If they can't find it, then they are going to make their own.

                    ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Keith Dale Hickman, the stories creator, was born in Atlanta Georgia but has spent most of his youth to adulthood in South Shore, Chicago's South Side. At age of eighteen joined the United staes Navy, serving in the Silent Service of Submarines as a Interior Communication Electrican until his early retirement at age 35. Currently has obtain his 35 year retirement from the Navy, his A.A. degree with honors from Porterville College, and his B.S. degree from Southern Illinois of Carbondale. He Also has a certificate in Mental Health / Substance Abuse from Porterville College. He works as a Engineer at Sierra View Hospital in Porterville California. Enjoys hiking and camping with his wife, childern, and ten grandchildren.

                ABOUT THE CO-AUTHOR

Jonathan Robert Casey was born in Los Angeles where he lived near the ocean until he joined the United States Navy where he spent his tour of duty on board an Aircraft Carrier. After completeing his tour of duty in the Navy he went on and spent another twelve years in the United States Army Reserves as a Medic. He had past away right after completeing this book. His wife Karen went on and completed the writting and editing of the book. She is currently living in Mclouth Kansas with relatives.
