About the Book
After 16 books entitled “Social Media Musings”—a series that has been described as a multi-volume documentary or literary archive—I decided a different title was called for. I chose “Upon Reflection: Social Media Commentaries” because this represents a more nuanced representation of my writings.
Our democratic republic form of government depends on an informed citizenry that relies on facts, logic, analysis, and reasoned judgment. At a time when too many people rely too heavily on social media misinformation; at a time when anger and rage too often replace common sense and rational thinking; it’s hoped that the essays and social commentaries in this book will inspire dialogue and further citizen involvement in their communities.
Through diligence and commitment in the face of fear; through speaking out rather than remaining silent; Democracy will prevail.
