About the Author

This is Brenda’s fifth published book. Almondawn marks a bold new literary direction for her, yet it roots, reach back to an earlier chapter of her creative life. This story was inspired in part by the imaginative paper-doll bookmarks she created and later wrote about in her book BREN-DEE. Following a successful career in international trade, Brenda now resides in Maryland close to the tranquil Chesapeake Bay. Surrounded by the beauty of nature that has inspired her since childhood, she continues to write stories that honor the past, celebrate knowledge, awaken the imagination, and remind readers that even in life’s darkest moments, hope and grace quietly endure.
