About the Book
Paul of Tarsus, aka, the Apostle Paul, was an author. He wrote letters to churches and to their leaders. He wrote to communicate true doctrine, to correct problems, to guide local churches, and to prescribe leadership strategies. Modern Bibles have thirteen of his letters. His letters are a treasury of strategies for healthy churches. They are in three themes: Declaring Biblical Truth to bring the nations to belief and submission to Christ Protecting and Promoting Church Testimony to demonstrate Christ’s power Encouraging Spiritual Maturity to multiply Christ’s kingdom The thirteen strategies are as contemporary as tomorrow. Modern churches and leaders are grappling with many of the same problems: contentious groups, legalism, fears about the future, secularism, gender roles, sensationalism, lawsuits, carnality, marital discord, doctrinal divisions, worship practices, and leadership qualifications, etc., ad nauseum. Each chapter of Apostolic Strategies beautifully portrays Historical, Cultural, and Biblical Background, Paul’s Strategic Response, a Biblical Illustration, a Mission Application, and a Contemporary Concern. The thirteen strategies can guide modern church leaders into refreshing reformation, revival, repentance, and renewal under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. The strategies are poignant, punchy, pithy, and powerful statements that might suitably be placed as plaques on the walls of the church. But more importantly – on the walls of the hearts of Christ’s chosen leaders.
