The poems ask unanswerable questions and explore the fragility of existence. 2. Exile and Homeland A poetic archive of Kurdish suffering, memory, and resilience. These quatrains bear witness to Halabja, Anfal, displacement, and cultural erasure. 3. Poesophical Reflections A fusion of poetry and philosophy. These quatrains explore ontology, consciousness, illusion, and the architecture of the self. 4. Love, Desire, and Union Love is treated as a metaphysical force. Desire becomes a path to transcendence, union, and dissolution of the self. 5. Nature and Memory Lyrical quatrains celebrating village life, nature, and ancestral memory. 6. Witness and Resistance A powerful cycle addressing contemporary atrocity and political oppression. 7. Rubāʿiyāt of the Outside A metaphysical closing movement exploring time, illusion, human folly, and cosmic perspective. At midnight, alphabet of crickets sang, Each letter leapt and, on my window, rang; By dawn the poem had climbed the mulberry— And shook its fruit where children’s laughter sprang. A photograph grew moss along its edge, Its sepia grass encroached the picture’s hedge; The long-lost faces rooted in my room— And turned the floor to meadow’s living pledge. I keep a key that fits no earthly door, It opens rooms I’ve left or loved before; Inside, the chairs remember how we sat— And cups recall the names we whispered sore.
