DORIS JEAN WILLIAMS BROWN who has been a part of Amteraur and professional sports as a Cyclist for a long time..I just loved sports during my youth years and today in my 70's i'm still a sports fan and participant. This book was on my mind for a very long time becasue I was not sure what I wanted to write about.. I have always been a person who just loved to take my interest and examine it. When I see balls, I often wonder where they came from. Riding my bike for so many years I often wondered who made the first bike. It is stories like that that started me to research information about sports. This sportsbook will tak you on a "JOURNEY" of sports about early developments and contributions that remain important today regarding Sports. I was able to use research data, academic articles and other books to ensure that i was able to write about sports, Hopefully there is something within this book that will provide you with something new and interesting about sports, This Book is a part of my series of my FIVE BOOK SERIES. The Series, Dining At Home, The Brown System Teaches Etiquette and Social Behavior,, Just Hink About It, and The Uncertainyy Mystery Horror & Terror of People and Food ?????

About the Author

My name is Dr. Doris Jean Williams Brown, and I currently live in Michigan. I moved to Michigan after high school and have lived in this area since then. My husband and I both lived in this area. We loved the area and made it our home for many years. We eventually parted ways, and I continued to live in the state of Michigan. I was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and this was a remarkable place to live with my family. Growing up in this era of the 1950s to 1960s provided me with various experiences that increased my knowledge. The sociological issues that were happening within the Deep South caused me to develop an interest in reading and writing. I feel that I received a good education as a student. I had great teachers, and I loved sports as a youngster and teenager. I attended the school from grades seven to twelve. There were no school buses, so I had to walk to school about ten miles a day. Writing something and coloring pictures became my pastimes as a child. Also, sports were a daily activity for me. Playing with my marbles, jumping rope, playing flapjack with the ball attached to the wooden board, flying kites, and throwing darts on a circle placed on our closet door were fun. These were my sports, and I realized that I enjoyed all of them as part of my recreation. Today you have to look around and see if people are aware of these types of fun activities as sports. I decided to write this sports book to share my views about sports and what has changed within the industry. I have always been a person who has an interest in sports because I have been part of amateur and professional sports as a cyclist. This sport has helped me to clearly define the need for understanding and team performance. I feel that this book will take you on a sporting journey about people, places, and events. The beginnings of many sports are shared during early and primitive times. I have been blessed with some wonderful accomplishments; they include having five educational university degrees, such as a bachelor’s degree in social work, a master of arts degree in teacher leadership, a master of arts degree in hotels and tourism, a specialist degree (educational) in organizational leadership, and a doctor of philosophy degree in hotel and tourism management. Also, I have received accolades such as Testimonial Resolution for Outstanding Achievement from the City of Detroit, Michigan; a special tribute from Senator John Francis Kelly; three Spirit of Detroit Awards from the City of Detroit; promaculation from Governor Jim Blanchard and Mayor Coleman A. Young; the Gold Medallion of Hope; the YMCA High Achievement Award; the Outstanding Achievement Award, Saginaw, Michigan; a High Achievement Award from the National Council of American Executives, Special Award; a US Conversation Award; and a Special Award from the United States Air Force. I’ve served as a board advisory member of Boys and Girls Club and a board advisory member of the United States Postal Service, and I was appointed to the Wage Deviation Board by Governor John Engler.
