About the Book

This book aims to help readers recognize how addictions and compulsive behaviors can hinder personal growth, disrupt careers, destroy relationships, and distort ethical choices. It offers guidance for those recovering from addiction or seeking freedom from compulsive behaviors. It gives insights into addiction for loved ones and the public to help understanding of these challenges through neurological and clinical research, scriptural and spiritual truths, and practical applications of these truths. It emphasizes spiritual warfare, cognitive behavioral therapy, and biblical principles that are embodied in the 12 Steps. I encourage submitting our lives to the Highest God as our Higher Power, through Jesus Christ our Lord, embracing a higher calling, achieving wholeness, and living an abundant life, both now and eternally. The information in this book will help us all understand the very complex world of addiction and compulsive behaviors, leading us to a place that we must go to find supernatural deliverance, and healing, surrendering our life and will to the true a living God. • It includes steps toward purpose, guided by faith, requiring commitment and openness to transformation. • It shows how wholeness comes from following God’s ordered steps. • It includes my own testimony of victory over the pitfalls and strongholds of life, and how I found the highest purpose of life through total surrender to the Almighty God. I pray that the words of this book will help you find your place of surrender, whether your life is controlled by addictions and compulsive behaviors or whether you are concerned about a loved one who is. We all need to find our place of total surrender and peace.

About the Author

Earning his Bachelor of Science in Human Services from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Arts in Christian Studies with an Emphasis in Pastoral Ministry form Grand Canyon University. Pastor Skiddoo can see how God prepared him for his calling to serve in recovery and restoration ministries. Pastor Skiddoo loves helping people overcome life’s pitfalls to live productive, prosperous and joyful lives. After seeing Substance Abuse Disorder destroy the lives of close family members and nearly himself, his passion is to help those seeking recovery and lifetime sobriety. Pastor Skiddoo and Mr. B formed Cornerstone Life Building Ministries for an ongoing support system for those persons in recovery. Pastor Skiddoo is an Associate Pastor at a Church in Las Vegas, Nevada, A Desert Storm Air Force Veteran, and retired. Frank has been married to his wife “The One” for 34 years, has six children, 30 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren who he enjoys spending time with. Pastor Skiddoo loves traveling, tasting food from various places and venues and is coowner with his wife of a catering business.
