About the Book

A dark mist rolls in to cover the land. The slow lumbering vessel moves across the swamp toward the small town of Westport. Thunder announces doom on the horizon. Lightning strikes the ground. The town’s residents rush out of their houses to witness the horror that moves effortlessly into position to strike. Little children scurry inside and are locked into trunks by their fearful mothers. The town is thrown into a panic. Those who can, escape and leave everything behind. Those who can't, bar and nail their doors shut. Thunder continues to echo through the sky. The first of the White Death Soldiers lumber into the town. They find the weak, sick, or dying and put the sword to them. Their souls are reaped for the machine. Their corpses become the new recruits. The hell spawn king approaches. Death is coming. The unholy stone altar is dragged before the hell spawn king. The attendants set the stone carefully before his majesty. The first of the captured women is selected out of the group and pulled by her long red hair to the altar. Forced to crawl up onto the stone, the attendants grab her arms and hold them out taut. Her head is not on the stone. She looks at the blood on the ground and knows what is next. She screams. "For the emperor!" The hell spawn king swings quickly and her head falls to the ground at his feet. "Blood for the blood god!" the white clad warriors screamed. Terror spreads through the mass of captives. They know their fate. Some scream, some cry, and some beg for their pitiful lives. The next victim is selected. A young girl with a doll clutched in her arms. She is pulled, screaming. Tears stream down her face, but the altar knows no mercy as she is dragged across it. "For the emperor!" The hell spawn king swings. "Blood for the blood god! Blood for the blood god! Blood for the blood god!" Victim after victim is taken to the altar. The pile of heads grows. Smoke from the burning buildings fills the street and swirls around the hell spawn king’s feet. There is no escape.
