About the Book
Daniel Jakob Garcia has always known about his dual heritage. Now that he has finished art school, he is ready to explore his complex family history. Encouraged by people at home in New Mexico, he takes two magical voyages. He first travels to The Netherlands and then to Mexico. The people and their stories along with the spectacular landscapes help Daniel develop his personal aesthetic. Back home, he honors his lifetime mentor by flying over their beloved valley using a pair of homemade wings. This memoir-like coming of age story will delight readers of art, magical realism, and travel.
