About the Book

Ridha Salih is the co-founder and director at Green Management and Consultancy Inc., based in Toronto, Canada. He has been recognized internationally for his contributions to agricultural innovation and sustainability, including an invitation from the late President of Iraq, Mam Jalal Talabani, following his receipt of the International Award for Technology and Quality. He is also the proud recipient of the prestigious President of the UAE International Date Palm Award (2010), honoring his role as a global leader in Date Palm research and technology. With a strong background in sustainable development and environmental innovation, Ridha has led numerous projects aimed at combating desertifi cation and enhancing agricultural resilience in arid and semi-arid regions. His passion for ecological transformation and rural revitalization is the driving force behind the Green Gold initiative— introducing the Nopal Cactus as a revolutionary solution for food security, climate adaptation, and economic regeneration. Through this book, he shares a bold and practical vision for a greener, more sustainable future—rooted in nature-based solutions and deep regional knowledge.
