About the Book
What Is It With Men?' (written in 2010) is set in the heart of England's Surrey countryside and revolves mainly around Amber Kelly's business and the stables where she keeps her beloved horse, Lance. This is a light-hearted and warming story about a business woman, who's not long turned forty, and has just come out of a horrible long-term relationship. As she tries to rebuild her life she finds herself being persued by various men, but the only man she's really interested in seems to be far out of her reach. There are twists and turns with the main characters as the story evolves and a plot is hatched to catch out Amber's perfect man. Her loud and slightly crazy best friend, Sandra, is by her side throughout the story as Amber embarks on an unexpected personal journey, which includes a potentially disastrous event with her daughter, Katie.

Susanna likes to express the thoughts of other characters in her stories, and not just the main character, as she feels this creates a deeper understanding of them with the reader. Her heartfelt writing comes from the love she has for her family and friends’, her lifelong love of horses and her great imagination for plots and twists and turns.
