This book will introduce you to a young man whose story consists of a number of failures, a number of heartaches, a number of bad relationships, a number of encounters with death, a number of happenstances with drugs, and a number of seasons when abandonment consumed him. The numerical value of his name in the Hebrew language is 31997, and its meaning will play a large part in his redemption.

About the Author

Birtie Finch is a member of the Southern Star Missionary Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Her pastor and mentor is Reverend Dr. Barry C. Johnson, Sr., who baptized her in 2019. Birtie is devoted to her church and her membership in the Mass choir. Birtie has served as a volunteer for the Louisville Elder Serve organization and the United Christian Hill Ministry. She has worked in a range of programs, including those that offer emergency finance, insurance, and food assistance to senior citizens. She has also worked for the Meals on Wheels community and organized various ecumenical activities for senior citizens groups. Birtie’s life was transformed on March 15, 2010, when she gave her life to the Lord. Birtie is the author of the 2024 book, The Burden Within. In this series of books, her mission is to highlight the influence God can have on the incarcerated.
