About the Book

Written by Dr. Damele Elliott-Hubbard, President of the National School of Theology, New York, Pastor, and Master Chaplain, this devotional journal is a sacred companion for those called to The Ministry of Presence, compassion, and spiritual care. Rooted in scripture, prayer, and lived experience, this work was created to strengthen the hearts, minds, and spirits of Chaplains. Each page invites reflection, renewal, and deeper communion with God, equipping Chaplains not only to care for others, but also to remain spiritually whole in the midst of sacred responsibility. This devotional highlights a holy lineage of witnesses, who were faithful Chaplains who answered the call to comfort the suffering, speak hope in darkness, and stand courageously in moments where heaven meets human need. It honors those who have gone before, encourages those who now serve, and prepares the generations of Chaplains yet to come. More than just a devotional, this is a spiritual journey, designed to shape compassionate leaders for years to come. Through scriptures, reflections, and sacred space for personal response, Chaplains are guided to grow in wisdom, endurance, humility, and unwavering devotion to Christ. This is not merely a book to be read, it is an invitation to remember the call, renew the spirit, and continue the lineage.
