About the Author

Aileen Higgins Clougherty lives on the edge of the lush and lovely Eno River State Park in Durham, NC with her husband, Chris. She hikes most days and dreams about stories, which she loves sharing with her two grandchildren. She’s happily retired after a 38-year teaching career. Her daughter, also an educator with her non-profit, Nobis Project, and her family live in Savannah, GA and her son, a musician and writer of two guitar instructional books including Expanding the Fret board, lives outside Atlanta, GA. She loves seeing her characters come to life in her drawings.
