About the Book

What if rivalry in the Church isn’t a leadership issue, but a revelation issue?

In MY HOUSE – A Place of Prayer: The Origin of Rivalry in the Church, Chioma Afoke delivers a timely prophetic message to the body of Christ. Drawing from John 17:3, she exposes how the lack of intimate knowledge of God the Father and Jesus Christ has become the root cause of spiritual rivalry, division, and self-made gospels within modern-day ministries.

This transformative Christian book re-centers the conversation around personal altars, divine encounters, and the spiritual authority that flows from true communion with God. Afoke asserts that the altar of prayer is not just a symbolic space. It is the birthplace of eternal life, where believers receive power, purpose, and the calling to serve others. Without this foundation, ministries drift into comparison, jealousy, and misplaced ambition.

Through rich biblical exposition, MY HOUSE – A Place of Prayer challenges readers to lay down their lives as vessels of God's glory, to hear and manifest Him daily, and to rebuild the spiritual integrity of the Church. If you are a pastor, intercessor, or believer seeking clarity on your assignment and freedom from ministry rivalry, this book will reignite your vision.

Experience a deeper knowledge of God. Rediscover your altar. Reclaim your spiritual authority.

Read MY HOUSE – A Place of Prayer and take your place in the body of Christ.
