True Christians are called to be a people who boldly believe and teach
the testimony of Christ, who said, "All authority has been given to
Me in heaven and on earth, Go therefore and make disciples of all
nations...teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded
you" (Matt. 28:18-20). Christians are to teach what Christ taught,
which includes the "resurrection of the just and the unjust" (John
5:28-29), at "the last day" (John 6:40, 44, 54), "Immediately after the
tribulation" (Matt. 24:29-31). But in about AD 1830 the church
exchanged the truth of Christ for the false epiphany of John Darby
who embedded the pre-trib rapture into the church, which silences the
testimony of Jesus though "the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of
prophecy" (Rev. 19:10).
Ancient Israel is our example of unbelief. When ancient Israel was on
the cusp of inheriting their Promised Land, they rebelled and fell into
unbelief, and that generation aged twenty years and older perished in
the wilderness. And later, upon their repeated, unrepentant rebellion,
unbelief and idolatry, God gave Israel "a certificate of divorce" (Jer.
3:8). And we must remember that God does not change, Mal. 3:6 and
Heb. 13:8. What God did before, He will do again. God warns us not
to follow the unbelieving example of ancient Israel, saying, "Now all
these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for
our admonition, upon whom the ends of the ages have come" (1 Cor.
10:11).
Five-sixth of the house of Israel was rejected from gaining
their otherwise intended inheritance because they saw giants in the
land, Num. 13 and 14, causing Israel to rebel in unbelief. And God's
wrath broke out against all those who rebelled. The majority perished,
but the minority inherited their Promised Land, Canaan. That entire
account is a clear example for believers as we also are about to inherit
our eternal possession with Christ, but those who don't believe the
testimony of Jesus have rebelled, like Israel, and will likely fall into
offense, hatred, and betrayal one of another, just as Jesus taught at
Matt. 24:10.
An applicable Scripture repeated often in this book says, "That which
has been is what will be, that which is done is what will be done, and
there is nothing new under the sun. Is there anything of which it may
be said, 'See, this is new?' It has already been in ancient times before
us. There is no remembrance of former things, nor will there be any
remembrance of things that are to come by those who will come
after" (Eccl. 1:9-11).
Rather than fearing the giants and turning in rebellion against God,
had all Israel believed God, as did Joshua and Caleb, the minority,
then all Israel would have entered their Promised Land, but "we see
that they could not enter in because of unbelief" (Heb. 3:19). And if
present-day believers don't believe and prepare in the testimony of
God in Christ, they too stand a strong chance of being excluded, as
were the five foolish virgins of Matt. 25:1-13.
Rather than fearing the tribulation, Christians need to know that God
has a place of safety and provision for His true watchful and prepared
believers "counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to
pass" (Luke 21:36), for the last 1,260 days of what Jesus called "great
tribulation" (Matt. 24:25), the last 3 1/2 years of this present age when Antichrist issues his "mark of the beast" (Rev. 13:16-17). This book reveals God's safety and provision for those believers who actually believe Him.
The organized church has over emphasized the "love" of God without
providing the balance of all God's attributes. For example, John 3:16
says that "whoever believes in Him should not perish but have
everlasting life". But the truth is that to effectively believe "in" Him,
means to actually "believe" Him. Twenty verses later the Spirit said,
"He who believes in the Son has everlasting life, and he who does not
believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him". To properly inform our understanding of God's nature, those two verses compliment each other and bring balanced truth.
Another biblical warning repeated in this book is one that the Spirit
brings forward from the Old Testament and is preached by Peter in
the New Testament saying, "For Moses truly said , 'The LORD your
God will raise up for you a Prophet [Christ] like me from among your
brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you.
And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be
utterly destroyed from among the people" (Acts 3:22-23). As it is
now, most Western professing Christians, largely do not "hear that
Prophet" regarding His testimony of the end-times and resurrection
rapture of believers. The church needs to wake up from its unbelief.
Time to prepare is short, and the urgency of our time is understated.
This book will prepare you for the 7-year tribulation just ahead.
